In 1982, I was working as a legal secretary. I loved my job but my true passion had always been spending time in my kitchen testing new recipes. The law firm where I worked would regularly have parties and at each one I would make special hors dóeuvres. One of the lawyers was so impressed that he asked me to cater a private party for him. From that party, I booked another party, then another party, and so on. It was an unconventional start but through word of mouth I quickly began to book more private parties and, eventually, big events.
As my calendar filled up, my jobs grew from small private affairs to large corporate functions. I started catering for some of the Lehigh Valley’s biggest companies including Lehigh Valley Hospital and B.Braun.
In 1994, I went full-time. I became the exclusive caterer of Sayre Mansion. I hired my husband and he worked with me full-time, as well.
From the very beginning, my business plan has been simple: Do the best job possible. It’s a basic concept, but it’s the driving force behind everything we do. From the ingredients we use to the service we provide, customers trust our experience to turn their special event into a truly momentous occasion.
